एहिं कलिकाल न साधन दूजा I जोग जग्य जप तप व्रत पूजा IIHere, the devotee doesn’t perform any rituals before the sacred fire, chant mantras, meditate, or sacrifice for his beloved. According to the verse, ‘रामहि सुमिरिअ गाइअ रामहि , संतत सुनिअ राम गुन ग्रामहि’, ‘jeev’ has to reminisce Him only, recognizing himself to be His child, who has slipped the hold of His guiding finger. The remembrance should be only to attain Him. What should be the process of remembrance? ‘गाइअ रामहि’. It should be the chanting of His name, forms, attributes, pastimes and abode. How this chanting be done? ShriMaharajji says- ‘परम व्याकुलतायुक्त’, only longingness will not serve our purpose, but utmost longingness is needed for it. This utmost longingness will develop when we shed tears for Him, realizing the pangs of separation from Him. This intense longingness is attachment! ‘Bhakti’! Love!! Shandilya ji rightly says – सा परानुरक्तिरीश्वरे Our mind should be completely attached to Shri Krishna or ‘Hari and Guru’. Cent percent attachment!! All our desires should be unidirectional towards Hari-Guru. This pure attachment or unflinching devotion should be towards the lotus feet of our beloved ‘Hari-Guru’. This is ‘Bhakti’.
It’s The Bhakti!
There is a wonderful path. The path of ‘Bhakti’. Prem Marg! It is such a pathway, which desires no pre-requisites from the ‘jeev’. The verse ‘कहहु भक्ति पथ कवन प्रयासा’ means- Bhakti requires no effort. And to awe and wonder, even omniscient Lord Krishna Himself treads through this path to provide His sight to ‘jeev’ and mitigate his sorrows forever. ‘Jeev’ has to go nowhere, he does only one thing-
